The Columbia Historical Museum will be putting on its annual fish fry fundraiser this Saturday, August 30, 2025. Museum volunteers will be serving fried catfish, green beans and potato salad with a dessert in to-go containers beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday along Broad Street near the historic Rosenwald School behind the museum, which is located at 247 East Brazos Avenue in West Columbia. The fried catfish plates will be sold for $15 each and the museum volunteers are looking forward to serving the public Saturday through their drive-by serving line. Proceeds from this Saturday’s fried catfish sales will go toward financing the museum’s many needs, including raising money for the two scholarships awarded at the end of the 2025-26 school year to deserving Columbia High School seniors. So, drop by the museum Saturday and help out your local museum.
