Everyone mark your calendars for the Columbia Historical Museum’s third annual fundraising fish fry which will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, behind the museum. Fried catfish plates with green beans and potato salad will be sold for $15 per plate along Broad Street on the historic Rosenwald School grounds between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Rosenwald School is located at the intersection of Clay and Broad streets in West Columbia, directly behind the museum, housed in the old First Capitol Bank building at 247 East Brazos Avenue.
Proceeds from the museum’s annual fish fry event help support the Columbia Historical Museum’s two college scholarships that are handed out to graduating Columbia High School seniors each year.
