“The Bluebonnet Trail” will be the focus of this Saturday’s children’s program at the historic Rosenwald School in West Columbia. The Columbia Historical Museum continues its free “First Saturday of the Month” events for children on March 1, 2025, with another come-and-go program aimed at entertaining and enlightening the youth of the community.
“The kids can plant a bluebonnet of their very own while making a cool craft and enjoying some treats with us,” program director Misty Congdon said.
Congdon, vice president of the Columbia Historical Museum Board of Directors, said the children attending Saturday’s program at the Rosenwald School will learn about the importance of the Bluebonnet Trail as it applies to early Texas history.
All children and their parents are invited to participate in this free event at the Rosenwald School, located directly behind the Columbia Historical Museum at the intersection of East Clay and Broad streets in West Columbia. The “Bluebonnet” program will last from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
