The Columbia Historical Museum’s “First Saturday of the Month” programs at the Rosenwald School are primarily directed at entertaining and enlightening the youth of the West Columbia area. But this Saturday’s program is for all ages.
“Flags and Maps of Texas” is the theme of the Rosenwald School’s program for Saturday, April 5, 2025. The come-and-go event will last from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the historic Rosenwald School, located directly behind the museum at the intersection of Broad and East Clay streets in West Columbia.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to this free program where they will learn how to tea stain a map while being informed about the history of the many different flags that have flown over Texas throughout our great state’s long and proud history. The changes in the maps of Texas over the centuries will also be discussed.
Treats will be served and everyone is welcome. There is no entry fee. For further informaton about Saturday’s program at the Rosenwald School, contact the Columbia Historical Museum at (979) 345-6125.
