A New Year’s Eve drawing at the Columbia Historical Museum in West Columbia will determine the two winners of a quarter of freezer ready Wagyu Beef being donated by G4 Ranch owner Dr. Corby Gotcher. Raffle tickets are being sold now at the museum at 247 East Brazos Avenue in West Columbia, as well as at Stewart’s Grocery Stores in Sweeny and Brazoria.
Dr. Gotcher, a Lake Jackson dentist, is donating the Wagyu Beef for the museum’s raffle in memory of the late Columbia Historical Museum Board President Bill Womack who passed away earlier this year. Both Womack and Gotcher are graduates of Columbia High School.
Raffle tickets are being sold for $10 each or three tickets for $25. Proceeds from the raffle will go to fund the Columbia Historical Museum’s college scholarships for Columbia High School graduating seniors. The scholarships were first handed out at the end of the 2022-23 school year and were named in memory of both Bill Womack and his mother, Emma Womack.
Winners selected at the 6 p.m. drawing on December 31, 2023, do not have to be present to win.
Please purchase tickets. These funds help us preserve our rich place in Texas history
